Last weekend Free Yr Radio visited the Siren Music Festival in Coney Island!
We were joined by the awesome folks at WUSB 90.1 FM, who broadcast live performances and interviews from Siren all day long.
WUSB broadcasts out of Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY, and features an eclectic lineup of music and news. On Thursday we visited their studios and met the team:
On Saturday we set up the tent and arrived ready to rock (even in the 90 degree weather):
WUSB broadcasted live interviews with Cymbals Eat Guitars and Pains of Being Pure at Heart. Fans were treated to exclusive performances by Wye Oak, Apache Beat, Screaming Females, and a special cover of New Order’s “Temptation” by Surfer Blood.
